IOU Sammi

Sammi--Mommy and your brothers are so sorry we raided your halloween candy after you went to bed last night. When you are old enough to read this I promise I'll buy you a giant candy bar.

Catching Up to Do!

Its obviously been a while since I've posted anything substantial, I apologize for that. Its not that we haven't been busy or that Samantha hasn't been doing the most amazing things. Its simply that I'm pregnant with twins and have been sick and tired. I'm nearly half-way through the pregnancy and finally starting to feel better.

Samantha is amazing! She's so good to me these days. Always trying to take care of me and totally understanding when I'm not myself (same goes for her daddy!) The other day she was patting her tummy like she was playing the drums and I started doing the same to play along. She said "no mommy, don't, you'll hurt the babies." She always gives her brothers kisses too. She's very excited (for now!)

We celebrated her 3rd birthday in September. Can you believe that my little angel is 3?!?! She's so smart and sweet. I really couldn't ask for anything more. I feel so honored to have her in my life and she makes me smile every day. Even yesterday when she claimed she didn't want to get out of bed until the sun came up and made everything beautiful. Speaking of her bed--we FINALLY moved the twin bed into her room and put the crib in the boys' room (sorry Aunt Jen!). We hung purple curtains and made her bed with her new bedspread. She is so excited and it looks so nice!

After her birthday we were in the mood to spoil her a little more and we got her bunkbeds for her twin babies. She's been such a little mommy ever since. The babies come everywhere and we have new clothes for them and even a daycare center. She likes to take them out on our deck in their stroller and she claims it is Hershey Park. She's got such a little imagination. I hope she keeps it when the boys turn her dollhouse into a GI Joe castle :-)

Sorry we haven't written in a while. If anyone has any good stories from the last few months, please add them in the comments.

Little Miss Attitude

Samantha is doing well. She's picked up a bit of attitude lately. Loves to tell us "noooo" while shaking her head at us. Today when I told her no about something she wanted she said "Don't tell me no" Cute, huh. We've been on the run a lot this summer. We're always off to somewhere. Last week we celebrated her cousin Cullen's 3rd birthday at a slip-n-slide party. She had a lot of fun, except when she went running down the slip-n-slide and landed on her head. The evening calmed down a bit when we headed to Bel Air to celebrate Grandpa's birthday.

Summertime

I can't believe it is already July 10. Where is the summer going? Samantha has had a great summer so far. She spent a whole week at Grandma and Pappy's house while her father and I were in Vegas. We had fun but of course missed her a lot. She barely had time to miss us. Her Grandparents and Aunt Kelli kept her very busy. Everything from a water park, to an animal park, to making her own pizza's and swimming in Grandma's big little pool. She had a lot of success on the potty too! And she enjoyed the mm's slot machine her parent's brought her back as a present.

We've been to HersheyPark a number of times this summer. Sammi even got to go with her cousins Gabby and Katie. Those girls sure had a lot of fun. Although Sammi got sick that night with a 103.1 fever, poor little thing was worn out.

The fourth of July was spent in Bel Air at a little party Granny and Grandpa had at their house. After BBQ we headed up to the old Bel Air 4th of July parade. Samantha LOVED it! Her mommy realized that when you get older it appears as if the parade is just one big ad for politicians, new car dealers, and fire engines. Who knew?! After the parade we headed back to Granny and Grandpa's and watched the fireworks the neighbors set off.

This past weekend we actually stayed home for a change. We went up to Cunningham Falls State Park and tried to hike to the Falls (we only made it half way b/c a certain 2 year old was a handful). And we had a picnic. Sadly, we weren't expecting the other thousand people to be at the Falls and Lake so our picnic was in sun on a very hot day instead of a shady spot. Then we went for a little drive around the area and suddenly realized we must have been in the Camp David area when we saw the "you are now under closed circuit survellience" sign. Ooops.
