13 Months Today

It doesn't feel like as big of a deal as it used to before she turned one, but my baby girl is 13 months old today. I'm watching her run around our living room now playing with her toys...well actually she's running around with our phone, hopefully she's not calling overseas! I can see why she would want to call overseas since her Granny and Grandpa left today for their big cruise, Grandpa's first! We are hoping they have a great time and enjoy their cruise.

On October 15th Daddy, Aunt Jenny, and I took Samantha to the pumpkin patch to pick out her pumpkins. Samantha had a blast! We took her in her red wagon and wheeld her all around the farm. We each took turns taking her down the hay slides, which went a lot faster than you would think! Then we wheeled her through a corn maze and even got lost! We took a hay ride out to the pumpkins and Samantha walkd around from pumpkin to pumpkin trying to pick them all up. It was a lot of fun.

More good news... Samantha's come around on the milk. We think she even likes it now! We were scared for a while!!

Who Really Likes Milk Anyway?

The milk-thing isn't going as well as we thought it would. Turns out Samantha's not really a fan. By "not really a fan" I mean she tastes it, starts shaking her head no, and drops her cup. Even the old tricks of the trade weren't working: we tried chocolate milk and even adding a few scoops of formula. She's finally coming around... when we give her 3 oz of milk and 5 oz of formula. Hopefully we can convert her by next week! I really don't understand because she'll eat anything.

We're very excited for this weekend coming up. Aunt Jen is coming to visit us and we are going to a pumpkin patch!

Anniversary Smooches

I can really tell my little girl is developing. She is so smart now. She really loves the baby doll I got her for her birthday. She walks around patting baby on the back, its very cute. When we ask her "Where's baby?" she drops what she is doing and goes to get baby. Over the weekend I started giving baby kisses and Samantha started doing the same thing. It was very sweet. Then even better, she gave me a kiss. It made me feel like a million bucks!

Grandma came down this weekend to stay with Samantha since Mommy and Daddy had a football game to go to on Saturday and planned to go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Samantha had a great time with her Grandma, although I think they were both worn out from the weekend! On Sunday Sammi got to meet a bunch of our friends from our college days. She really enjoyed them. She thought Adalyn was a lot of fun to play with and little Ava was just a doll.

Samantha had her one year check-up last week. The doctor said she is perfect. She's 29 1/2 inches tall and 23.8 pounds. Starting tomorrow we can give her milk instead of formula. Its a big step! And should help our wallet out!

Happy Anniversary to Samantha's Daddy. Two years have just flown by!
