Growing Up

Time sure does go by quick. Another day, another week, another month have passed by. Samantha is now 17 months old and she just keeps growing up into the sweetest young lady. Today Samantha met her newest friends, Mrs. Angie's twins Sydney and Jordan. They are half the size Samantha was when she was born, but they are so much alive. They are so beautiful and it made me realize just how grown up Samantha is becoming. She is so sweet now, yes, she has her moments when she wants her way. But that is exactly my point, she is smart enough to know how to get her way. She talks so much more now, and it is more and more coherent.

Yesterday we took Samantha to the park across the street. It was almost 60 degrees out but there was hardly anyone at the park. She loved the sliding boards (weeeeee!!!) and she liked the swing at first and was all giggles, but then it was like she flipped a switch and didn't like it anymore. She ran around playing for about an hour! We all had a blast. But she was so tired after that!

Tonight all Samantha wanted to do was play with Rosie (our kitty). Rosie is surprisingly good with her. They did play for a little while, but eventually, Rose had enough and went into hiding!

Sometimes I just want to stop the clock and enjoy Samantha exactly as she is right now forever. She is so fun-loving, sweet, cute, and smart. Other times, I can't wait to see the future and what she is like a month, or a year from now! I think I'll just go ahead and enjoy her one day at a time.
