First Christmas

Samantha is three months old now, and time is flying! She is such a joy to be around now. She is so happy and loves to play! Which is good because Santa brought a bunch of new toys for her to play with. We are still working on grabbing things, but she is getting much better at it.

Christmas was so much fun! We were worried earlier in the week because Samantha had a bad cold and wasn't feeling well. But she was back to her old self by Friday. On Thursday "Santa's Little Helper" helped Mommy and Daddy wrap presents. You can see the cute little bib she wore in the picture to the right. Then on Christmas Eve Granny and Grandpa, Grandma and Pappy, and Aunt Jenny and Uncle Steve all came to visit Samantha. Grandpa helped Daddy read "Twas the Night Before Christmas," an Ayres family tradition that we plan to carry out for Samantha. On Christmas morning all the grandparents were there to open the many gifts Santa brought. Of course Samantha slept through most of the gifts!

Christmas dinner was spent at the Cosgove house, and Samantha had a great time. She even got the holly headband in the Yankee gift exchange. She was very excited (except when Mommy put them on her... she didn't like that too much). Christmas must have worn Samantha out because she slept until 10:30 the morning after Christmas. Mommy and Daddy really enjoyed that!
